Cazando a la Bestia
— HBO

01 — Overview & Concept Cazando a la Bestia is an HBO series about Luis Alfredo Garavito, one of the most prolific serial killers in history. The visual challenge was finding a language that could carry the weight of the subject without being exploitative — something that felt documentary and unsettling at the same time.

The concept was built around transparency and superimposition. Archive images, maps, timelines and typography layer and bleed into each other, creating a visual space that feels fractured and dreamlike — as disturbing as the story itself.

02 — Visual System A dark, textured world where nothing is fully solid. Archive photographs bleed through oversized typography. Maps become landscapes. Timelines anchor events in history without making them feel resolved. Pink and red as accent — blood that refuses to disappear. Every element exists in tension with the others.

03 — Motion System is the central motion principle. Layers don't replace each other — they accumulate, overlap and dissolve. The logo animation sets the tone: something emerges from the darkness without ever fully arriving. Lower thirds and map animations follow the same logic — information that feels uncovered rather than presented.

04 — Arcihve System A library of archive images was developed under an editable system — unified filters and treatments allow any historical photograph to be integrated into the visual world while maintaining consistency across all episodes.
