Worldwide Promotional Toolkit
MTV EMA '16
Editable typographic and visual system built for 55+ countries.
01 — Overview & Concept MTV World Creative Studio commissioned Inland Studio — the motion design studio I co-founded — to create the promotional toolkit for EMA 2016, their biggest annual event, distributed across 55+ countries. I led the creative direction, design and motion on the project.

The system had to be complex enough to feel irreverent and bold, but editable enough for local teams worldwide to adapt language and content without losing visual consistency.

02 — Visual System High saturation and luminance as the core of the palette — yellow, cyan, green, magenta — generating visual shock while maintaining MTV's rebel identity. A sliding typographic structure allows text to scroll across the frame, creating dynamic compositions adaptable to any message or language. Photo intervention deconstructs talent images through pixel, scatter and distortion — keeping faces recognisable while integrating them into the glitch aesthetic.

03 — Motion Typography animates as the primary visual force. The slide system creates momentum — titles push through the frame with weight and irreverence. Glitch effects are systematic, not decorative: every distortion follows the color logic of the palette.
